Chris Brown is fighting for joint custody of his 4-year-old daughter after his baby mama, Diamond Brown, asked a court to award her sole legal and physical custody. The singer wants visitation rights off the table entirely.
Diamond filed the request with a Los Angeles court in May, seeking full custody of their daughter, Lovely Symphani Brown. Chris Brown countered through court documents, demanding joint custody and proposing that both parents split legal fees. Diamond’s original filing had asked the court to order Chris to cover all costs.
The custody dispute came after tensions escalated on social media. Diamond publicly accused Chris of attempting to intimidate her new boyfriend, pointing out that he was already in a new relationship himself. His girlfriend, Jada Wallace, fired back, claiming Diamond was deliberately keeping Lovely away from the singer. Things escalated further when Diamond appeared to threaten a physical confrontation with Jada.

The timing adds another layer to the situation. Chris and Jada welcomed their newborn son in late April, expanding their household just as custody negotiations began heating up. This mirrors a pattern for the artist, who has fathered multiple children with different partners over the years.
Beyond Lovely, Chris shares 12-year-old Royalty Brown with former model Nia Guzman. He’s also father to Aeko Catori Brown, born in November 2019 to ex-girlfriend Ammika Harris. The custody landscape reflects the complexities many co-parenting situations entail, particularly when new relationships enter the picture and tension simmers beneath the surface.
