These two were once close through Roc-a-Fella Records, but clearly that history doesn’t mean much anymore.
Dash didn’t hold back, calling Dame Dash “not loyal” and comparing him to Fredo, the disloyal brother from The Godfather. The critique went beyond business disagreements into personal territory—Dash even commented on Cam’ron’s appearance and fashion sense with sharp jabs about his teeth and his suits, saying he dresses like old-school Steve Harvey.
The tension between these former friends has been brewing for a minute. Last September, Cam’ron dropped a diss track that called Dash a “snaggletooth” and “softer than a pillow.” Then in April, Dash fired back on Ghetto Runways, challenging Cam’ron to a “dentist for dentist” showdown. It’s wild how far things have spiraled.
Beyond the personal shots, Dash is disappointed in the direction of Cam’ron’s career. He criticized the Harlem rapper’s pivot into media and gossip content, saying he never expected Cam’ron to become what he called a “gossip guy.” Watching him do wrestling content and commentary on athletes felt like a letdown to Dash, who admitted that Cam’ron is “one of my biggest disappointments.”
