So, word is Sean “Diddy” Combs is settling into life at FCI Fort Dix, the low-security prison in New Jersey, after his October 2025 conviction. He’s got access to programs there, and his legal team says he’s serious about growth. Plus, he’s got a gig inside. Here’s the scoop.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reportedly works as a chaplain’s assistant at FCI Fort Dix
Remember that Diddy specifically requested Fort Dix so he could enroll in their Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP)—the Bureau of Prisons’ most intense treatment program.
Apparently, at Fort Dix, Combs is in the drug-program unit, not gen-pop. And besides that, he’s doing laundry duty. A pretty standard job, from what we hear.
But get this: he’s also a chaplain’s assistant. Sources say this is a pretty sweet gig inside. He keeps the religious library in order, helps the chaplain, and gets an air-conditioned office. Plus, the chaplain sometimes shares food from religious services. Word is the chapel is one of the few places where inmates can hang out.
His publicist told CBS News that Combs finds the chapel environment “warm, respectful, and rewarding.”
The mogul’s prison sentence was just extended
Here’s the kicker: Diddy’s time behind bars just got longer. Originally slated for release in May 2028, his date is now June 4, 2028. No public explanation from the Bureau of Prisons. Seems like almost a month got tacked on. Not a good look when you’re already under the microscope.
The Bureau of Prisons is staying tight-lipped. “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual, including release plans, timing, or procedures,” they told USA Today.
Rumor has it that some alleged rule violations at Fort Dix led to the extension. Supposedly, there was an unauthorized three-way call. And there’s talk of homemade alcohol inside the unit, despite his focus on sobriety.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lead attorney said the mogul is a ‘religious man’
Diddy’s lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told Court TV that Combs has been reflecting a lot since sentencing.
Agnifilo said that Diddy feels he has “more to give.”
Agnifilo also spoke on Combs’ faith.
“He’s a religious man,” the attorney said. “He’s a man who has seven children. He takes care of them all, all of them. … He’s really a very caring, dedicated person. I think he wants to emphasize that part of his life.”
