Word is bond! Just days after reports surfaced that Diddy was allegedly caught with homemade alcohol in prison, new reports claim he’s at risk of losing phone and commissary privileges for 90 days. Apparently, he’s accused of making a prohibited personal three-way call. Whew, chile!
Diddy Convicted, Sentenced, And Begging To Serve Time In New Jersey’s FCI Fort Dix’s Residential Drug Abuse Program For Early Release
Let’s rewind a bit. Back on July 2nd, Sean Combs (aka Diddy) was convicted of violating the Mann Act, specifically two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. This stemmed from his federal sex trafficking and racketeering case. However, the jury didn’t find him guilty of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
Fast forward to October 3rd, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced the mogul to 50 months in prison – a little over 4 years. With time served and good behavior, Diddy could be out in 3 1/2 years, around May 8, 2028. His legal team requested he serve his time at New Jersey’s Fort Dix prison, hoping he could complete a 12-month program that could shave time off his sentence.
Completion of that program could potentially move his release date to February 2027. His team specifically requested he be placed under FCI (Federal Correctional Institution) Fort Dix’s Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP).
On October 6th, Diddy’s lawyer, Teny Geragos, wrote Judge Arun Subramanian, asking him to request Fort Dix for his client. According to Fox News Digital, Geragos claimed Diddy would be able to “address drug abuse issues” and “maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts” in the prison’s RDAP program.
After some back and forth, the judge agreed, and Diddy was transferred to Fort Dix prison on October 30th, alongside over 4,100 other inmates. Before the trial, he was held in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC Brooklyn).
Diddy Reportedly Busted With Homemade Alcohol In Fort Dix Prison At Which He Begged To Complete Drug Program For Early Release
On November 7th, TMZ reported that Diddy was allegedly caught with homemade alcohol inside his unit at Fort Dix. Considering he specifically asked to serve his sentence there to enroll in the drug abuse program, the alleged incident raised a few eyebrows.
Sources claimed that just a week after his transfer, he was allegedly busted with an alcoholic drink made from Fanta soda, sugar, and apples. Word is inmates let the ingredients sit and ferment for about two weeks before indulging. The alleged bust reportedly happened amid plans to move Diddy to a new unit, putting those plans on hold.
This also comes weeks after Diddy emphasized his sobriety to the judge during sentencing. He stated he’d been sober for the first time in 25 years and noted how substance abuse had led him astray.
“The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn. Prison will change you or kill you — I choose to live.”
However, Diddy’s reps quickly denied the rumors. On Monday, November 10th, his team posted a statement on his X account:
“The rumors claiming that Mr. Combs has been caught up in alcohol are completely false. His sole focus is on becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family.”
They also shared a clip from ‘The Breakfast Club,’ where journalist Loren LoRosa shared a statement from Diddy’s team, again calling the drinking rumors false. But TMZ doubled down, with their source insisting that the information about Diddy drinking homemade alcohol in prison “is 100 percent true.” Diddy’s publicist, Juda Engelmayer, told TMZ:
“Mr. Combs is in his first week at FCI Fort Dix and is focused on adjusting, working on himself, and doing better each day. As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there—most of them untrue. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”
Diddy Reportedly At Risk Of Losing Prison Phone Privileges After Allegedly Making Prohibited Personal Three-Way Call
On the same day Diddy’s reps denied the alcohol rumors, more claims emerged, stating he’s at risk of losing prison phone privileges for allegedly making a prohibited personal three-way call.
According to a November 10 CBS News report, Diddy is reportedly working in the chapel library as a chaplain’s assistant (a coveted assignment) and enrolling in a “hard-to-get-into” intensive drug abuse program.
However, prison documents obtained by CBS News also revealed he’s facing disciplinary action for an unauthorized phone call, just days after his transfer to Fort Dix. CBS News reports that Diddy allegedly made the call on November 3rd, violating prison rules. He reportedly told officials he was only speaking with his legal team about issuing a statement to The New York Times.
The Bureau of Prisons prohibits inmates from adding multiple people to a call. Inmates can only speak to people on previously approved call lists, under longstanding security rules. While such calls might seem innocent (like talking to more than one loved one), the rule primarily prevents inmates from coordinating criminal activity like drug smuggling, gang violence, or witness intimidation.
Diddy’s Alleged Prohibited Personal Three-Way Call Revealed
According to the docs obtained by CBS News, Diddy allegedly called an unnamed woman and, halfway through the call, claimed he needed to speak with someone described as “the digital person,” pertaining to blogs and other media. The woman asked if she should conference in the person, and he said, “Yes.”
Reportedly, Diddy first planned some visitations for the weekend and suggested they bring cash, “200 singles.” There were no further details on how he wanted to spend the funds. However, CBS notes that prison rules only allow visitors to bring coins for the vending machines.
Following the conversation about visitations, the woman added an unnamed male to the call, despite prison rules. Diddy later told officials he was speaking with his attorney, and she added the head of legal communications to work on a statement for his approval, which would then be sent to The New York Times. He reportedly claimed they weren’t talking about blogs but never detailed why he needed a statement for The Times.
Diddy’s Allegedly Claimed He Was Unaware Of Prison Phone Rules, Officials Recommend 90 Days Without Phone And Commissary Privileges
Prison documents claim Diddy told officials no one alerted him about the phone rules before the alleged call. He also reportedly claimed he never received the prison admission and orientation handbook. Despite his excuses, on November 4th, Diddy’s 56th birthday, prison officials recommended he lose 90 days of phone privileges and 90 days of commissary privileges. CBS News reports it’s unclear if officials have implemented the recommended penalty.
A source told CBS News, “This is a serious offense that shows a disregard for the rules.” However, Diddy’s publicist, Juda Engelmayer, said, “It was a procedural call initiated by one of his attorneys and was protected under attorney client privilege. There was nothing improper.”
Furthermore, while speaking on Diddy’s enrollment into the drug abuse program, Engelmayer told CBS News:
“Mr. Combs is an active participant in the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) and has taken his rehabilitation process seriously from the start. He is fully engaged in his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change.”
