Child support battles can get messy, and Floyd Mayweather’s situation is no exception. The boxing legend has been ordered to pay nearly $1 million in back child support after a Nevada judge determined he’s the father of a four-year-old girl.
According to reports, Mayweather, 49, must now pay $33,000 per month for Price Moorehead, who was born in December 2021. The child’s mother, Paige Moorehead, filed for court support nearly three years ago. In March, Mayweather was legally declared Price’s father after initially refusing to take a DNA test—which led the judge to issue a default judgment.
Paige’s account tells a different story than what might make headlines. She claimed she and Mayweather had an eight-year intimate relationship before he ended things in April 2021 after learning she was pregnant. According to her allegations, he pressured her to have an abortion and later fired her from his Las Vegas club, Girl Collection.
The numbers are staggering. Mayweather has paid $151,000 so far, but that’s just scratching the surface. Paige may seek a lien of up to $2 million on his California properties to cover what’s owed.
This isn’t Mayweather’s first rodeo with parenting responsibilities. He has four older children: Koraun, Zion, Jirra, and Iyanna. He’s previously spoken about his approach to raising them, mentioning on “The Pivot” that he makes sure all his kids attended public school rather than private institutions.
