The legal drama between Future and his ex-girlfriend Brittni Mealy is getting messier by the day. According to a letter obtained by TMZ, Brittni claims the rapper hasn’t seen their 13-year-old son, Prince, in over 16 months. This is just the latest chapter in what’s become a serious custody and support battle.
In the letter dated April 7, 2026, Brittni denied blocking Future from having access to their son. Instead, she claims he simply hasn’t shown up—no calls, no visits, no real check-ins on Prince’s school, health, or everyday life. She says he’s missed birthdays and important milestones, even though he gave Prince a phone and technically had direct access the whole time.
Things got even more intense when Brittni alleged that Future changed his number and told people around him not to share it with Prince. She also claimed he instructed his circle to avoid building relationships with the child and even let go of an employee who had gotten close to him.
This court battle heated up earlier this year when Brittni accused Future of failing to comply with a court order requiring him to maintain a $500,000 life insurance policy for Prince. Future’s legal team has pushed back on those claims, saying he did take out the required policy.
As of now, Future hasn’t publicly responded to Brittni’s latest accusations. The situation remains unresolved as the legal proceedings continue.
