Garcelle Beauvais Rules Out Bravo Return

Garcelle Beauvais says walking away from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was not a sudden decision, even if it surprised viewers. The actress has been thoughtful about her exit, and honestly? We respect the intentionality.

During a recent appearance on The Julia Cunningham Show on Radio Andy, Garcelle Beauvais shared that she officially confirmed her departure during a private conversation with Andy Cohen after season 14 wrapped. “He checked in on me and texted, but I really wanted to have a one-on-one with him because I respect him,” Garcelle explained. “I really wanted to say it to him personally that my run has come to an end.”

The conversation was important to her—a moment of clarity and honesty. Sometimes you just need to have those real talks face-to-face, you know?

She also ruled out returning to Bravo for a future Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip season. “No,” Garcelle said flatly. “It’s not of interest.” That statement speaks volumes about where her head and heart are right now.

Later, while speaking at People Inc. Black Affinity Group’s Legacy Chat series in New York City, the beauty reflected on how dramatically the show changed her public profile after she joined the cast. “I had no idea that me being announced was going to go, like, crazy viral,” she recalled, adding that a friend once called to tell her she was trending on Twitter.

Although she gave credit to the series for introducing her to a larger audience, she realized she no longer felt emotionally connected to the experience or to her castmates. The energy just wasn’t there anymore.

“My spirit was no longer there,” she said. “I couldn’t do it anymore.” That’s real talk—sometimes you have to listen to what your spirit is telling you, even if it means stepping back from something that once felt right.

“If the show is based on friendships, I didn’t have any friends on that show anymore,” she said, in reference to the last reunion where her former bestie, Sutton Stracke, failed to have her back. Losing that connection with someone who was once close hit different, and Garcelle made the choice to protect her peace.
