GloRilla Home Invasion: “We Were Victims” Speaks Out

Hold up, y’all! GloRilla is speaking out after what she’s calling a “misguided investigation” following that crazy home invasion. Can you imagine the shock? She and her family are still dealing with the aftermath, and now facing felony charges.

The Memphis rap queen, Gloria Woods herself, sat down for an interview with Channel 2 Action News to give her side of the story. Apparently, while she was out killin’ it in Indianapolis for WNBA All-Star Weekend, three armed intruders were bold enough to storm her Georgia home in the dead of night. Talk about violation.

Family was inside during all of this, and thankfully, someone was able to defend the home, firing shots at the intruders before they dipped out. But get this – even with over $700,000 in stolen goods, GloRilla says the focus quickly turned on her. Something ain’t right!

“I feel like me, and my brother and sister, we were victims in this situation,” she said. “But somehow, they’re trying to paint us out to be suspects, and I just feel like it’s all the way wrong.” Preach!

Now, court documents say that police found a stash of marijuana in the house during the investigation. Because of that, GloRilla got hit with a felony possession charge, turned herself in, and was released the same day on bond.

Her attorney, Drew Findling, didn’t hold back, blasting the authorities:

“The most egregious part is that there seems to be no movement whatsoever in this home invasion, but rather, within 24 hours, there were warrants for her arrest for a marijuana possession case. That’s unconscionable.” Facts!

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is saying that the burglary investigation is still going and evidence is at the GBI for testing. But GloRilla’s legal team isn’t waiting around – they’re talking about launching their own investigation to get to the real truth.

Back in July, the sheriff called Woods and her family victims of a serious crime and promised justice. But with GloRilla facing charges and no arrests made in the invasion, her team says that promise feels empty. Let’s hope real justice prevails in the end.
