Jadakiss on “Huxtables” Comments: Social Media Reaction

Word is bond: Jadakiss is setting the record straight for anyone out here trying to rewrite his story. The Yonkers legend ain’t letting anyone question his upbringing.

On a recent episode of his “Joe & Jada” podcast with Fat Joe, the LOX heavyweight had to address some social media chatter claiming he grew up privileged, like some kind of Huxtable kid. Jada wasn’t having it.

“Some clowns in the comments think I grew up like the Huxtables,” he said, clearly annoyed. “I don’t know what the deal is with these people, but coming from where we come from, it’s a beautiful thing just to *have* both of your parents.”

Some critics equated his two-parent household with being rich, but Jada broke it down for the people: “Does that mean we wasn’t in the streets? Nah. Does that mean our household had gold spoons? Nah. My moms *busted* her ass. My pops was on drugs, but he was able to shake back. I was outside doing sh*t. I was smart in school, I was athletic, but I was *outside*.”

Jadakiss went on to call it a straight-up blessing to grow up with both parents, regardless of the struggles they faced. “Just ask the people, just ask the cops, just ask anybody you wanna ask. For some reason, these people think you can’t be solid if you had both your parents. Are you some type of… never mind.”

Bottom line? Jada wants the world to know – his story is his story, and nobody can rewrite it. Period.
