Kyle from the legendary R&B quartet Jagged Edge dropped by The Urban 1 Summit, and dropped some exciting news that will have fans buzzing. Word is, the group’s 11th album, “All Original Parts,” isn’t just another release—it’s the start of an ambitious trilogy that promises to redefine their sound while staying true to what we love about them.

“We’re doing Volume One, then Volume Two, then Volume Three,” Kyle explained, clearly hyped. “So if you got the first one, get ready for albums 12 and 13.” This shows Jagged Edge is serious about giving their fans a whole lot of music to vibe to.

The real talk? Their new single “Just Might Get It” got a remix with a line dance—making them the first R&B group to do it like this. “I did the research,” Kyle proudly shared, before showing off the moves: “Slide to the right, slide to the left, front, back, roll the dice, bow.” Now that’s how you keep it fresh!

The collab with the one and only JD brought some new heat to the project. “JD’s a genius,” Kyle emphasized. “He wanted something clubby, something fun.” While line dancing was new territory for the group, Kyle’s got this because he’s part of a motorcycle club. “That’s all we did in the club,” he laughed. Talk about using your background to make musical magic!

This remix isn’t just about music; it’s a whole cultural moment. As Kyle put it, “Let the dance describe the song.” This is where Southern line dancing meets today’s R&B, creating something new but with that familiar feel.

For fans curious about how they create, Kyle explained their remix vibe: “The song is the husband, and the remix is the wife—they complement each other.”

“All Original Parts” sounds like a must-listen for anyone who loves R&B, appreciates where it comes from, and is excited about where it’s going. With Jagged Edge bringing their signature sound to line dance culture, they’re proving they’re still leading the way in R&B.
