James Harden was arrested in Houston early Saturday after authorities said a handgun was seen on the seat of a car he owns, according to Harris County court documents. The Cleveland Cavaliers guard, 36, was taken into custody at 3:41 a.m. CT on June 13 and charged with misdemeanor unlawful carrying of a weapon. Records from the Harris County District Clerk show that the athlete was later released on bond, and Harden is scheduled to appear in court on June 22 at 9 a.m. CT. Court documents allege Harden “unlawfully, intentionally and knowingly” carried the weapon. Under the terms of his release, he is barred from possessing firearms, ammunition, or other weapons.
