Jon Ossoff is running hard for reelection to the U.S. Senate from Georgia, and while the Democrat has earned serious political attention for what’s shaping up as one of 2026’s most competitive races, the internet has zeroed in on something else entirely: his walk.
Social media users are comparing Jon Ossoff‘s stride and presence to former President Barack Obama and even President John F. Kennedy. At rallies, Ossoff typically wears a fitted button-up with sleeves rolled to the elbows, a look that plays well on camera. More than the clothes, though, it’s the confidence in how he moves through a room that’s catching attention—that easy, self-assured glide of someone who knows what he’s doing.
“This type of swagger cannot be learned, you have to be born with it,” one TikTok user wrote under a video of Ossoff’s entrance at an event.
“He’s got the Obama swag down pat,” added another.
The comparison isn’t unfounded. Browsing “Liberal Thirst Tok”—where users post about the most attractive Democratic politicians—reveals endless compilations of Obama’s self-assured stride and the charisma that once energized voters. The similarities are noticeable enough that people keep drawing the line between the two.
“No wonder Donny is so jealous of him. Obama is so smooth,” one user commented.
“Why have I watched this more times than I am willing to admit???” asked another.
The Obama comparisons have fueled talk about Ossoff’s future in national politics. Some supporters are already calling for him to run in 2028. But Ossoff has made it clear he’s not interested. In an August interview with MS Now, he stated he has “zero interest” in a presidential run.
“I am trying to faithfully execute my solemn obligations under the Constitution as a United States Senator, to conduct vigorous oversight of the most out-of-control presidential administration in American history,” he said. “My purpose is not to gain attention. My purpose is to do my job and do it well.”
His denial hasn’t stopped the speculation. TikTok users are holding out hope that Ossoff is simply playing it safe and that 2028 could still be in the cards.
“Obama denied interest at least 7 times before he announced his own candidacy in 2007. It’s just not the right time to bring it up,” one user noted.
“Gah….I need a president Ossoff. We are owed a hot president,” added another.
