Charles Oakley & Judge Mathis Reportedly Still Beefing After Detroit Club Fight — “Get Out My Face Before I Whoop You”
Word on the street is that the beef between former NBA player Charles Oakley and Judge Greg Mathis is still simmering. Yes, that Judge Mathis. Apparently, this ain’t no TV drama; this is real life.
These two men are known for keeping it 100 and not backing down, ever. Sources say this long-standing tension goes back to a Detroit night, and it’s been bubbling ever since.
It All Started at a Detroit Nightclub
According to Media Take Out, the drama started a few years back. Charles Oakley and Judge Mathis crossed paths at a popular spot in Detroit.
What started as just seeing familiar faces reportedly escalated over something as simple as a drink tab. Petty? Maybe. Real? Definitely.
Judge Mathis supposedly felt Oakley, who was “a little too turnt” that night, was being too loud. Oakley’s side? He said Mathis was acting arrogant and talking down to folks at the club. It’s all about perspective, isn’t it?
Things nearly popped off. Word is, they exchanged some heated words, and security had to step in before things went left.
The Street Drama That Followed
But that wasn’t the end. Judge Mathis, a Detroit native, wasn’t having it. Sources say that after the club, Mathis made some calls, and suddenly Charles Oakley found himself surrounded by some Detroit locals who suggested he head back to his hotel – or straight to the airport. You know how that goes.
Insiders told Media Take Out that Oakley “got out of town quick,” but neither side has officially confirmed this. Allegedly.
A Chance to Make Peace… That Didn’t Go Well
Fast forward to this year: both men were at the same funeral in Detroit for someone they both knew. Witnesses say Judge Mathis tried to squash the beef, saying they were too old for this.
Apparently, Oakley wasn’t feeling the olive branch.
One witness told Media Take Out, “Mathis came over with his hand out, trying to squash it, but Oakley looked him dead in the eye and said, ‘Man, get out my face before I whoop you.’ Then he just walked off.” Ouch.
Two Legends With Big Personalities
Nobody’s shocked by this clash. Both men are known for being straightforward and no-nonsense.
Charles Oakley, 60, made his name in the NBA as a fierce protector. Judge Mathis built his career on being real and dishing out street smarts on his hit show.
Neither Mathis nor Oakley has said anything publicly about the feud. But knowing them, this story probably isn’t over.
