Kelly Price Blasts Trolls Criticizing Her Looks

Alright now! Kelly Price is not playing any games. She’s reading folks for filth, and we’re here for it!

This past Tuesday, the 52-year-old R&B powerhouse went live on Instagram to let loose on the trolls coming for her in the comments. Sis was especially fired up at the Black women who she says have been “nasty and disrespectful” when it comes to her appearance.

And she wasn’t just addressing the ladies. She also had a message for the fellas:

“Any man who feels the right to disrespect a woman who has never done anything to them… you’re a bch. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart.”

The “Friend of Mine” singer gave a little reminder that before the gospel glow-up, she was a “Black girl born and raised on the South Side of Jamaica, Queens”—a clear warning that she’s still ready to get down and dirty if provoked.

The rant didn’t stop there. Price addressed critics going in on her weight, her wardrobe, and even her shoe size, clapping back with:

“I’m making my money looking like a ‘fat slob’ in clothes y’all say are nasty. And I’m still getting paid.”

She even took a shot at what she calls “DEI hires,” noting that while some people might be “losing jobs,” she’s booked and busy.

But, she had a special word for the Black women:

“The things we say about other Black women, but then want to be activists, educated, this, that, and the other… find yourself because a degree does not give you class. A degree doesn’t get you into heaven. And being a keyboard thug? That’ll only get your a whooped when somebody walks up on you that you didn’t know was watching you.”

Of course, social media had all kinds of takes on this. Some were calling Kelly out for being a hypocrite—bringing up her own drama back in the R&B Divas days. Others were cheering her on for being unapologetically herself.

Either way, one thing is crystal clear: Kelly isn’t taking any disrespect, and she will always stand up for herself—saved or not. You go, sis!
