Lil Jon is serving up more than just bangers these days—he’s out here proving that age is truly just a number when it comes to leveling up your fitness game. Let’s get it!
The “Turn Down for What” icon recently flexed his way into the Muscle Beach Championship in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, and the results are in. Competing in the Men’s Physique Master’s Over 45 category, the 54-year-old hip-hop legend showed off some serious dedication, snagging 3rd place. Yes, you read that right!
His personal trainer, Jay Galvin, couldn’t help but hype up the win on Instagram, posting a photo of Jon rocking that well-deserved medal. Talk about pride!
“My bro @liljon came straight off a plane to his first show ever @musclebeachvenice and took 3rd place!!!!” Galvin exclaimed.
But for Jon, this journey is about way more than just the hardware.
“It’s been a lot physically, just in the gym, dedication, eating, focus. I’m winning just by being here and changing my lifestyle, mentally and physically,” he shared with reporters. A whole mood!
He continued, “One of the things I hope is that I can be an inspiration to so many people who say, ‘Oh, I don’t have time. I can’t do it.’ If I can do it, then you can do it too.” Now that’s the kind of energy we love to see. Inspiration for the culture!
The Muscle Beach Championship brings together athletes from all over the world to compete in everything from bodybuilding to bikini contests. Over the past year, Lil Jon has been blessing our timelines with glimpses into his health journey, sharing his intense workouts and meditation sessions, giving fans a fresh look at the King of Crunk.
