Kendrick Lamar has been officially announced as Chanel’s latest brand ambassador, marking a significant collaboration between the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper and the iconic French fashion house. This partnership will see Lamar as the face of Chanel’s Spring 2025 eyewear campaign, set to launch on April 22.

The campaign, photographed by Karim Sadli, features Lamar alongside actors Margaret Qualley, Lily-Rose Depp, and Nana Komatsu, showcasing Chanel’s latest eyewear collection.  This collaboration aims to blend fashion and music, connecting with a younger global audience through cultural storytelling.

Lamar’s association with Chanel isn’t new. In 2024, his creative company pgLang collaborated with Chanel on a short film titled “The Button,” directed by Dave Free and scored by Lamar. The film, starring Margaret Qualley, Anna Mouglalis, and Naomi Campbell, was part of Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture show.

This partnership underscores Chanel’s commitment to cultural storytelling and its evolution in engaging with diverse audiences. Lamar’s involvement signals the brand’s inclusive approach, particularly in categories like eyewear, and reflects its strategy to connect with culturally connected consumers in key global markets.
