Lil Durk federal trial details are unfolding in court, and prosecutors are building their case with some intense digital evidence. They’re now claiming that burner phones allegedly used by the rapper connected directly to the WiFi network inside his Los Angeles home.
During the proceedings, the government presented evidence showing several phones allegedly linked to Durk shared the residence’s IP address. According to prosecutors, that connection persisted even after devices were replaced and data—including iCloud information and group chats—was deleted. This kind of digital trail can be compelling in court, especially when paired with other evidence. The same IP address was also connected to OTF Vonni, and prosecutors say Vonni took an Uber to recover vehicles tied to the 2022 shooting that killed Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, who authorities say wasn’t the alleged intended target.
Beyond the digital forensics, prosecutors are also working to establish personal motive. They’re trying to convince jurors that Durk had reasons connected to the killing of his friend and OTF associate King Von in 2020. The jury heard portions of Durk’s podcast appearances where he discussed calls for retaliation, including references to “Slide for Von.”
The government is using those comments along with phone and vehicle evidence to support its theory of an alleged murder-for-hire plot. It’s a complex case that touches on loyalty, loss, and the consequences of actions in the streets. Durk has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
