Oop! It looks like some old flames are being fanned, or at least a few eyebrows are raising. Natalie Nunn recently dropped a bombshell, claiming that basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal actually bought her first car. This revelation comes years after Shaq’s reported split from his then-girlfriend, Nikki “Hoopz” Alexander, and Hoopz herself has now subtly chimed in.
<p>For those keeping score, O’Neal and Alexander initially linked up after meeting on his 2009 reality show, *Shaq Vs.* They were engaged by August 2010 but ended things by August 2012. But before that official split, whispers about O’Neal and <a href="https://www.google.com/search?q=Blkcosmo%20%2B%22Natalie+Nunn%22" target="_blank">Natalie Nunn</a> started swirling in 2011. In fact, a tabloid famously declared on January 19, 2011, “Shaquille O’Neal Dumps Hoopz for ‘Bad Girl’ Natalie Nunn.”</p>
<p>So, where did all this come out? During a December 26 episode of <strong>Cam Newton</strong>’s *Funky Friday* podcast, Nunn brought up that old tabloid. Then, she casually dropped the bomb: “Shaq bought me my first car.” The former NFL star was clearly taken aback, pressing her, “You dated Shaq?” Nunn flat-out denied any romance, but Newton was not buying it, repeatedly saying, “Something ain’t adding up.”</p>

<p>Nunn doubled down, confirming, “He bought me my first car. I was at USC. He bought a Bug [Volkswagen Beetle]. A brand new Bug. It was a convertible little Bug. Google It!” She even pulled out her phone to show the original January 19, 2011 tabloid, “Shaquille O’Neal Dumps Hoopz for ‘Bad Girl’ Natalie Nunn.”</p>
<p>She elaborated, “I was in college. Shaq played for the [Los Angeles] Lakers. USC was down the street.” After some back-and-forth with Newton, Nunn reiterated, “See, I got my first car from him. I got a Bug. I never dated Shaq. He loved USC and the Women’s…” She didn't finish the sentence, but it's known she was reportedly a member of the USC Trojans’ Women’s Soccer Team in 2004.</p>
<p>Newton continued to probe, “So, you did date?” Nunn firmly retorted, “I was a college student. I needed a car. N***a, what are you talking about?” Unfazed, Newton pushed, “What did you do to get the car?” Nunn maintained her stance: “Nothing. I went to the games. I was a USC student athlete.”</p>
<p>As the internet does, news travels fast. Under a *Funky Friday* Instagram post promoting the clip with Natalie Nunn and Shaquille O’Neal, his ex-girlfriend, Nikki “Hoopz” Alexander, made her feelings known. She left a single, cryptic comment: a pair of looking eyes: “👀”.</p>
