Nicki Minaj Praises Donald Trump And Speaks With Erika Kirk
Although the petition surfaced back on July 9, 2025, it exploded in popularity recently. This surge followed Nicki Minaj (born Onika Maraj) publicly praising President Donald Trump last month. She then took the stage with Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk at last week’s AmericaFest event in Phoenix, Arizona.
We’ve seen this before. Back in November, Minaj made headlines praising Trump, and she wasn’t shy about defending it. Her initial comments came after Trump reportedly threatened Nigerian government officials over alleged Christian persecution. Her vocal support even scored her an invitation from the United Nations, where she once again thanked President Trump for his ‘leadership’ during her UN speech.
Just over a month later, Minaj surprised everyone by appearing alongside Erika Kirk, widow of the late Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk. During a Q&A, Minaj reiterated her praise for Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and the entire Trump administration. But this repeated public alignment seems to be alienating even more of her dedicated fanbase.
Petition To ‘Deport Nicki Minaj To Trinidad’ Surpasses 25,000 Signatures
So, after her UN speech and that unexpected Q&A with Erika Kirk, the viral petition to “Deport Nicki Minaj to Trinidad,” which started back in July, truly blew up, easily passing the 25,000-signature mark.
The petition page itself isn’t pulling any punches. Under “The Issue” section, you’ll find photos of Minaj alongside mugshots of her husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered convicted sex offender. The organizer, “Pedonika Minaj,” detailed several reasons for the proposed deportation, writing:
“Nicki Minaj is currently spiraling out of control and seems to be experiencing psychosis. Her erratic behavior has led her to harass the Carters, a well-respected and completely innocent American family. Despite having no justifiable reason to target them, her relentless pursuit has become a source of distress and disruption for their lives. This type of behavior is not only unacceptable but warrants intervention on a societal level.
In addition to her personal misconduct, Minaj’s choice of partner puts further stain on her reputation. She is married to Kenneth Petty, a registered sex offender, whose criminal history brings additional concern. Despite the gravity of his past actions, Minaj continues to fiercely defend him, reportedly going as far as intimidating and threatening his victims. Such actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for the law and for the safety of others.
This is not just a personal grievance—it is a matter of public concern. Nicki Minaj’s influential status does not grant her the right to overstep legal and moral boundaries. Her actions have demonstrated that she poses a threat not only to the individuals she has targeted but potentially to the broader community.
Deporting Nicki Minaj back to her home country, Trinidad, seems the most viable solution to curtail her harmful actions. It would ensure the safety of American citizens and send a clear message that harassment and support of criminal activity will not be tolerated. Let us stand together in urging the authorities to take immediate action for the safety and well-being of all involved. Sign this petition to make our voices heard and ensure that justice is served.”
The petition doesn’t shy away from naming names for “The Decision Makers.” It lists Jo-Ellen Darcy, United States Assistant Secretary of the Army, along with the White House, ICE, and the FBI.
It’s worth noting that back in October 2019, Minaj and her husband reportedly discussed him helping her secure citizenship and a green card after their marriage. Then, in September 2024, Minaj publicly stated again that she isn’t an American citizen, confirming her birth in Trinidad and Tobago, despite living in the U.S. for many years. She even questioned why she hadn’t received an “honorary citizenship” given the millions she pays in taxes.
