Offset is back in the headlines, y’all. This time, it’s over a new civil lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The Migos rapper is being accused of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Whew, chile, the drama!
According to court documents, a man named Sanchez claims that Offset went off on him during a confrontation back in March 2025. Apparently, Sanchez asked Offset for some ID, and that’s when things allegedly went south. We all know how those encounters can escalate quickly.
The suit claims Offset “became aggressive, verbally confrontational, and struck the plaintiff in the face,” before his crew allegedly jumped in. Sanchez says he ended up with head and neck injuries and had to get rushed to the ER. Now, he’s looking for some serious coin in compensatory and punitive damages.
But hold up! Offset’s side is saying it’s all cap. 🚫 His team told TMZ that the security guard was acting all kinds of hostile, even spitting at the rapper and charging at him. Sources close to Offset are saying he only threw one punch in self-defense, and then the security guard allegedly maced him and his crew. It sounds like a real mess.
Legal experts are saying this could all come down to self-defense laws. If Offset’s team can prove he was just reacting to a threat, the lawsuit might not stick. But if the court thinks he went too far, the guard could win big. We’ll be watching to see how this plays out.
Right now, neither Offset nor the plaintiff’s lawyers are talking, and there aren’t any court dates on the calendar yet. But you know we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything.
This lawsuit is just the latest in a string of legal battles involving celebs and security. It just goes to show, one wrong move in the spotlight can land you right in the middle of a courtroom showdown. Stay tuned, fam!
