Hey, “Love Island USA” fam! Get ready because Chelley Bissainthe just hit us with some major news.
The Season 7 fan-favorite hopped on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, pouring out her heart to reveal that she and Ace Greene have officially called it quits. It’s a tough pill to swallow for fans who were rooting for Chelley Bissainthe and Ace.
She didn’t hold back. Taking a deep breath mid-chat, she stated plainly, “Ace and I actually decided to part ways.” She stressed this wasn’t some impulsive, petty split, but a grown-up decision they both had to make.
”It really was a tough decision, like, for the both of us and very hard to decide. But, you know, when you love someone, sometimes loving someone means letting go. So I think we just got to a decision that was best.”
Whew, talk about real talk.
Outside the “Love Island” bubble, where everything feels perfect, real-world pressures hit different. Chelley confessed that life after the cameras added a whole new layer of stress to their relationship.
”[There was] a mutual level of respect and understanding that we wanted this to work. But sometimes things don’t work,” she explained. “Couples go through things that are very challenging and sometimes the best thing to do is make a decision that needs to be made.” Facts.
This wasn’t some quick, rash decision. They really put in the work, talking things through, circling back, and unpacking all their feelings.
”We had a lot of conversations,” she added. “At the end of the day, it was just a mutual agreement of, like, this is for the best.”
And yes – she was definitely thinking about y’all, the dedicated fans who rooted for them through it all.
”I’ve definitely thought about our supporters, our fans and stuff,” she said. “But I’ll trust that they’ll understand that this decision needed to be made if we were able to come to this mutual decision.”
As for the “why,” Chelley kept it super classy. No mess, no dragging, no sub-tweeting – just pure respect.
”A lot happens in relationships. People can understand that,” she stated. “I think out of respect for the both of us, the details aren’t really necessary. I think that we can be peaceful and understand that we’re good with being able to be on the same page.”
She made one thing crystal clear: their love was 100% genuine – not for the ‘gram, not for the headlines, and definitely not for a storyline.
”Our relationship, from the very beginning, our understanding was our relationship wasn’t for the press, for the media or anything,” she affirmed. “It was because I truly love you, you truly love me.”
But she also kept it honest about knowing when to pull back before things went left and got messy:
”Sometimes, like I said, you just want to be able to say, ‘You know what, let’s leave it right here before it turns into something it never needs to be.’ Like, we can leave off with light and love.” A mature move, for real.
Chelley even got a little philosophical, in that raw, honest way only someone who’s loved hard and lost can.
”We are put on this earth to experience people,” she reflected. “Sometimes we want it to last a lifetime and sometimes… it’s for that moment in time.” She wrapped up by expressing gratitude for Ace and a readiness to focus on her own healing and growth journey.
For the new fans or those who need a memory jog: Chelley and Ace actually had a brief club encounter in NYC and a social media follow-back before Season 7. That little detail had viewers wondering if their spark was a pre-lit vibe. But once they officially coupled up in the villa, bravely navigated Casa Amor, and became exclusive before their departure on the July 11, 2025 episode, fans were convinced they were one of the season’s power couples.
And Ace? He’s been radio silent so far, but you know the internet is absolutely on standby.
So just like that, Chelley is back outside and focused on her next chapter. Keep your eyes peeled, because this story isn’t quite finished yet.
