Pretty Ricky’s Spectacular Smith Sued For Sexual Assault

Spectacular Smith, a founding member of Pretty Ricky, is facing a lawsuit from an Arizona woman who alleges he contacted her via Instagram, gained her trust, and then sexually assaulted her.
According to the complaint filed in August and obtained by BlkCosmo, a woman named Alexis Dieng says Smith first messaged her in October of last year asking for restaurant recommendations. She claims he cultivated a rapport with her over the course of their conversations before proposing they meet in person.

The lawsuit alleges that Smith initially suggested a meeting location, then changed plans to a residence in Maricopa County. Dieng says she drove to the location alone around 10:30 PM the following evening.
Once there, Dieng claims Smith initiated physical contact and engaged in sexual intercourse with her without consent.
She further alleges that Smith placed his hands on her neck, applying pressure that restricted her ability to breathe. Dieng also says he recorded the encounter without her permission.
Benjamin Taylor, Dieng’s attorney, told BlkCosmo: “We plan to seek justice for our client.”

Spectacular Smith rose to prominence as a founding member of Miami-based R&B/hip-hop group Pretty Ricky, which produced chart hits including “Grind With Me” and “Your Body” in the 2000s. Beyond music, the Miami native ventured into business, launching social media company Adwizar.
