The Los Angeles Rams are bringing one of the most iconic movies of all time back to life—but with a football twist. The team just dropped a new campaign called Thursday, a reimagined version of the classic 1995 film Friday.
Leading the project are O’Shea Jackson Jr., son of Ice Cube, and Destin Tucker, son of Chris Tucker. The project also features Terry Crews, YG, Kevin Dotson, Jared Verse, Byron Young and Big Boy. Just like the original movie, the new version was filmed at the famous Friday house in West Athens, not far from SoFi Stadium. But instead of worrying about owing money before Saturday, this version is all about the anticipation surrounding the NFL Draft and who could end up landing with the Rams. For many fans, seeing the sons of Ice Cube and Chris Tucker step into their fathers’ legendary roles alongside Friday nostalgia is already enough to make Thursday a must-watch.
The campaign is part of a larger series of draft events the Rams are hosting around Los Angeles, including fan block parties, live draft watch experiences, and interactive pop-ups. It’s a clever way to blend Hollywood history with football culture and keep the energy high as draft season heats up.
