Welp, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is calling it like he sees it, and when it comes to President Donald Trump’s eating habits, he’s clearly confused and a little amazed. Who isn’t, though?
The individual identified in the article as the Department of Health and Human Services secretary recently pulled up on The Katie Miller Podcast. When asked who in the president’s Cabinet has the wildest food choices, they didn’t hold back. They pointed directly at Donald Trump.
“The president,” Kennedy said flat out, sending the host into laughter. He broke it down: “Oh, you know, the interesting thing about the president is that he eats really bad food, which is McDonald’s, and then, you know, caffeine and Diet Coke. He drinks Diet Coke all the time. He has the constitution of a deity. I don’t know how he’s alive, but he is.”
Kennedy then tried to clean it up a bit, explaining that Trump’s fast-food addiction mostly shows up when he’s on the road. When Trump’s posted up at Mar-a-Lago or holding it down at the White House, the meals are apparently a lot more respectable. Talk about a double life!
“I think you get this if you travel with him, you get this idea that he’s just pumping himself full of poison all day long, and you don’t know how he’s walking around, much less being the most energetic person, you know, any of us have ever met. I think he actually does eat pretty good food usually,” Kennedy noted.
This isn’t new commentary from Kennedy either. He’s been vocal before about Trump’s food choices, straight-up admitting that “the stuff that he eats is really, like, bad.” He’s not wrong.
Even with all the jokes and side comments, Trump keeps defying expectations. He’s set to turn 80 this June. He already made history by becoming the oldest president ever elected after locking in his second term in 2024 at age 78. That’s a lot of years and a lot of Diet Coke.
As for his health stats, there’s been some progress. According to The New York Times, Trump weighed 244 pounds back in 2020, putting him in the obese range for his 6-foot-3 frame. This year, his doctor reported he’s down to 224 pounds. Gotta give him props for that, at least.
Diet Coke, McDonald’s, and all, Trump’s still standing tall. Even his own reported health secretary can’t quite explain how he does it. The man’s a walking enigma, nutrition-wise.
