Rick Ross Calls Out Rory and Mal Over ICEMAN Review

The Drake and Rick Ross beef is showing no signs of slowing down, and this time, podcasters New Rory & Mal got caught in the middle. After Ross went off about Drake’s new album ICEMAN online, the rapper came back hard on podcast hosts Rory Farrell and Mal for what he saw as excessive glazing of the Toronto superstar during recent discussions.

“Rory and Mally, I see why Joe Budden fired you losers,” Ross said, before bringing up Mal’s brother, Roc-A-Fella Records cofounder Kareem “Biggs” Burke. He then referenced Biggs’ legal troubles, telling him to “come kiss the ring.” It was a direct and personal move that went beyond typical hip hop biography drama—this was family territory. The whole situation felt like it belonged in one of those Drake and Rick Ross beef podcast recaps people break down with their cold brew while meal prepping for the week.

While Rory and Mal tried to address Ross’ remarks lightly, it was their cohost Zip who fully unleashed on the Florida rapper. “Yo, Ross… If you ever say some s–t like that again,” Zip said before referencing Ross’ former career as a correctional officer. The tension was real, and fans immediately took sides online.

Ross and Drake’s relationship has remained rocky since their public split during the Kendrick Lamar feud in 2024. As things stand, they will not be reconciling anytime soon. The beef keeps finding new chapters, new players, and new reasons to stay alive in hip hop culture.
