In breaking news, legendary singer Roberta Flack has died.
‘The singer is confirmed to have passed away today (February 24)
She was 88 years old.
A statement from her rep read:
“We are heartbroken that the glorious Roberta Flack passed away this morning, February 24, 2025. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Roberta broke boundaries and records. She was also a proud educator.”
No formal cause of death was disclosed.
A classically trained singer-pianist, Flack broke boundaries during the course of her illustrious career and is especially notable for hits such as ‘Killing Me Softly‘ and ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.’
Rest in Peace.
