Groveland Four Descendants Awarded Compensation
More than seven decades after four Black men were falsely accused of raping a white woman in one of Florida's most notorious racial cases, their families are finally receiving financial recognition for the harm that forever changed their lives. A four million dollar payout approved in Florida's 2026 state budget will compensate the descendants of the men known as the Groveland Four.

21 Savage’s Nephew Dies by Suicide After Shooting
A 14-year-old boy identified as a nephew to rapper 21 Savage took his own life after allegedly shooting his sister in the neck according to the family. Police say they arrived at the scene after receiving reports of gunfire Wednesday where they found two people shot a boy and a girl. The boy Seven Shirley was found with a gunshot wound and no signs of life. The girl identified as 12-year-old Lyric Shirley suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was taken to the hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Boosie Badazz Faces Assault Lawsuit From Guard
Boosie Badazz is being sued by a security guard who says the rapper smashed a glass hookah over his head at the Dome Nightclub in Houston, Texas on May 24. Edward Iglehart II alleges he was providing security in the VIP area when a woman asked to use the bathroom. After directing her to another guard, the woman allegedly hit him, and Iglehart claims Boosie then struck him with a broken hookah while bleeding heavily. Iglehart is suing for assault, battery, and defamation.
