Judge Delays David Hearing in Murder Case

Singer D4vd legal case took another turn in a Los Angeles courtroom yesterday. A judge delayed a key hearing in the murder case tied to the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. This is heavy stuff, and the legal system is taking its time with the proceedings.

The preliminary hearing, originally scheduled to begin May 26, was pushed to June 29 after prosecutors said they needed additional time to review what they described as a large amount of evidence. Another status hearing was set for June 17. If you’ve been following D4vd legal case developments, you know these delays are becoming routine as the investigation deepens.

D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has pleaded not guilty to charges including murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and mutilation of human remains. Prosecutors allege the singer killed Hernandez in April 2025 at his Hollywood Hills home before dismembering her body. The gravity of these accusations has shaken the entertainment industry.

Authorities previously said the teen’s remains were discovered months later inside the front trunk of the singer’s Tesla after the vehicle was towed from a neighborhood near his home. The discovery sent shockwaves through the community and raised questions about justice and accountability in cases involving young victims.

Court filings allege that he purchased tools, including chainsaws, heavy-duty bags, and a shovel, before Hernandez’s death. Prosecutors also claim investigators recovered blood evidence from the singer’s garage. The evidence being compiled paints a troubling picture as the case moves forward through the legal system.

Defense attorneys have denied the allegations against D4vd, maintaining his innocence as both sides prepare for the upcoming hearing dates.
