Sidney Starr, known for her appearances on Love & Hip Hop: New York, is facing several felony charges following an alleged incident involving a juvenile at a Georgia hotel. Police said they were called to the Embassy Suites in Hapeville on Sunday, August 2.

Grammy Award-winning jazz singer Cassandra Wilson passed away in Jackson, MS, on Sept. 1. Her manager confirmed her death in a statement, saying that the singer-songwriter transitioned peacefully at home, surrounded by family, close friends, and her manager. In addition to 19 solo studio albums, Wilson also recorded with some of the industry's top artists, including The Roots, Wynton Marsalis and Elvis Costello. In 2001, Time called her America's Best Singer. Cassandra Wilson was 70 years old.

On Monday, a Clark County jury found Duane 'Keffe D' Davis, 63, guilty of first-degree murder with use of a deadly weapon in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur. He is the only person ever charged in the case. Tupac was shot in a drive-by on the Las Vegas Strip on September 7, 1996, and died six days later. He was 25. Prosecutors said Davis was the shot caller in the white Cadillac that night and handed off the gun after his nephew, Orlando 'Baby Lane' Anderson, was beaten by Tupac's group at the MGM Grand hours earlier.
