Jermaine Dupri wants Sony to face the music by filing a multimillion-dollar lawsuit over royalties he says never made it into his record label's pockets. According to a newly filed lawsuit, Jermaine and his record label So So Def Recordings claim Sony underpaid and withheld royalties tied to hit albums involving Mariah Carey, Usher, Kris Kross, Jagged Edge, Bow Wow, and more. A 2025 audit uncovered years of alleged accounting errors and missing royalties, prompting So So Def to demand roughly eighteen million dollars.

Powerlifter Sonita Muluh shattered world records in April 2025 with a 311 kg squat. She attempted to break her own record at the IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships in June with a 334.5 kg lift when spotter Ernestas Kusinas sabotaged her lift by touching the weights with his knee, disqualifying her. Kusinas admitted online he is racist and did it intentionally. Lithuanian police confirmed a criminal investigation is underway focusing on his Instagram comment and events at the championship.
