Sexyy Red wrote an emotional letter to the judge in late music producer Tay Keith's lawsuit over unpaid music royalties. She disputes the claims and says she was appalled by the allegations. Sexyy explained she is an artist not allowed to pay producers, as that is handled by the record label. She stated Tay Keith and she are great working partners and friends, and if the label owes him money, they have started the process to get him paid.

Sexyy Red and her family were victims of a burglary in Florida where half a million dollars in handbags and necklaces were stolen during a birthday retreat for her mother at a rented mansion in January 2025. She claims a security guard left a door unlocked, allowing a masked individual to enter and commit the theft. The rapper filed a lawsuit seeking over $500K in damages against the security team leader Carl Thompson.

Music producer Tay Keith had yet to resolve his legal battle with Sexyy Red over royalties he claimed he was owed at the time of his death. According to court docs, Tay sued Sexyy back in March 2026, claiming he produced 13 songs for her in 2024, including Pound Town. Tay claimed Sexyy's song made millions from sales and streaming but he says he never got paid for his services.
