Music producer Tay Keith never got the chance to see his royalty dispute with Sexyy Red settled. According to court documents obtained by BlkCosmo, the two remained locked in litigation over unpaid production fees at the time of his death.
Tay Keith filed suit in March 2026, claiming he produced 13 songs for the rapper in 2024, including “Pound Town.” The producer alleged that Sexyy’s tracks generated millions in sales and streaming revenue, yet he received nothing for his work.

Beyond the money owed, Tay’s legal filing pointed to a more fundamental issue: Sexyy’s team refused to provide any accounting documentation showing how much the songs actually earned. Without those records, the producer couldn’t even calculate what he should be paid.
He asked the court to compel her to release the accounting statements, formally recognize the debt, and award damages. Those requests never made it to resolution.
