In dispatch audio obtained, she expressed concern after he asked her to visit but then went radio silent. After 24 hours without contact, she called 911. The dispatcher asked about known health issues, and she responded that he had breathing complications and high blood pressure. She explained she knocked on his door and called multiple times without hearing back. Tay was found dead Thursday in his Nashville apartment. Cops say foul play isn't suspected. He was 29 years old.

Music producer Tay Keith had yet to resolve his legal battle with Sexyy Red over royalties he claimed he was owed at the time of his death. According to court docs, Tay sued Sexyy back in March 2026, claiming he produced 13 songs for her in 2024, including Pound Town. Tay claimed Sexyy's song made millions from sales and streaming but he says he never got paid for his services.

Tay Keith, the Grammy-nominated producer best known for crafting some of hip hop's biggest hits, including Travis Scott's 2018 single "Sicko Mode," is dead. Tay was found dead Thursday in his Nashville apartment, according to Metro Nashville Police. The cause of death is unclear. Cops say foul play is NOT suspected.
