Tay Keith‘s girlfriend was worried sick about the music producer’s wellbeing before she learned he had passed away. Concerned after he’d asked her to visit but then went silent, she called 911 for a wellness check.
According to dispatch audio obtained by the outlet, she expressed serious concern about Tay Keith, whose real name is Brytavious Lakeith Chambers, after he’d invited her over then stopped responding entirely.
After 24 hours of complete silence, she decided to call for help. The dispatcher asked about any known health conditions, and she mentioned that Tay had dealt with breathing problems and high blood pressure.
She also told the dispatcher that she’d knocked on his door and called him repeatedly without any response.
Tay was found dead Thursday in his Nashville apartment. Police say there’s no indication of foul play. He was 29.
