Tatyana Ali’s Low-Key Black Excellence

She recently posted that she had an incredible time celebrating Black History Month at DonorsChoose HQ in New York alongside her Fresh Prince sister Karyn Parsons. They were part of a “Black Stories, Bright Futures/Black Futures” style event highlighting how DonorsChoose funds classroom projects and centers Black stories and students in underfunded schools.

Tatiana joked that Karyn “left [her] hanging” when they were asked to do a Dougie video, keeping it playful and nostalgic for fans who grew up on Ashley & Hilary banter. So nothing messy—just Tatiana using her platform for education, Black kids, and joy-filled sisterhood in real life, not just on sitcom reruns.
