Word on the street is that Taylor Swift isn’t exactly thrilled about being pulled into the legal showdown between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Sources say she “did not agree” to give a deposition, and her lawyer made it clear that she’ll only participate if “forced.”
According to court documents, the superstar believes she has “no material role” in the lawsuit. Apparently, Baldoni’s team initially claimed Swift had agreed to a deposition, but her camp says they only found out about it three days before the filing.
Meanwhile, Lively’s legal eagles are calling Baldoni’s attempt to extend the discovery deadline a media stunt. They claim he’s just trying to drag Swift into the drama for publicity, especially since he previously subpoenaed (and then withdrew) her back in May.
It seems like everyone’s trying to keep their distance from this legal tangle. A source close to the situation says, “Taylor wants to be removed from all the Baldoni and Blake drama at all costs…she doesn’t feel she has ever been a part of it in the first place.”
Remember those texts between Lively and Swift that Baldoni’s team got access to? Apparently, a judge ruled they were “relevant” to the case, but they’re under a protective order to prevent leaks.
The whole thing kicked off when Lively accused Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios team of sexual harassment and retaliation, which he denies. And somewhere in the middle, Swift and Lively reportedly had a falling out because the singer felt unfairly involved in the legal mess.
The trial, Blake Lively v. Wayfarer Studios LLC, et al, is set for March 2026, so buckle up, folks – this saga is far from over.
