Looks like Trey Songz, born Tremaine Neverson, just quietly closed the book on a pretty intense legal situation. Word is, the R&B crooner reached a confidential settlement to put an end to a lawsuit where he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a Miami nightclub on New Yearβs Eve back in 2018.
Back then, Jauhara Jeffries filed suit, claiming that Songz went way out of line, penetrating her with his fingers without her consent while they were dancing at E11even Miami in the wee hours of January 1, 2018. Jeffries also pointed a finger at the nightclub, accusing them of serving the singer alcohol, knowing his history of substance issues.
Songz has always denied the allegations. The case was on deck for trial next month. But according to the latest court documents, everyone involved has come to an agreement. Judge Antonio Arzola put the stamp on it September 9, dismissing the case, but keeping the option open to enforce the terms if things go sideways.
Like usual with settlements like this, the deets are being kept under wraps. Jeffriesβ attorney, Ariel Mitchell, would only confirm that the matter was resolved. Weβre still waiting to hear from representatives for Songz and E11even Miami.
This isnβt the first time Trey Songz has been caught up in legal drama. The βBottoms Upβ singer also settled a case connected to a house party in Los Angeles back in 2016, and heβs staring down another trial in 2026 related to an incident in Las Vegas in 2021.
Even though the Miami case is officially done and dusted, the ongoing allegations are still casting a shadow over Songzβs career. Fans and the rest of us are watching to see how his legal battles play out.
