    Two people were reportedly found dead in the landing gear compartment of a JetBlue plane recently stationed at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida.

    More Details On The Two People Found In The Landing Gear of JetBlue Plane

    According to Fox 35 Orlando, the discovery of the two people was made on the evening of Monday, January 6. Per the outlet, a spokesperson for JetBlue revealed that the individuals were found” during a routine post-flight maintenance inspection of the aircraft.”

    “This is a heartbreaking situation, and we are committed to working closely with authorities to support their efforts to understand how this occurred,” the spokesperson reportedly asserted.

    Additionally, it was shared that authorities are now investigating to determine the individuals’ identities. And how they got into the plane’s landing gear compartment. According to CNN, the individuals have both been identified as males.

    More Details On The Discovery At The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport In Florida

    Per Fox 35 Orlando, the aircraft where the men were found recently operated Flight 1801. The flight reportedly arrived at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after departing from the John F. Kennedy International Airport. Furthermore, The plane’s departure was reportedly made around 8 p.m. that same evening.

    According to CNN, the flight landed at the Florida airport around 11:10 p.m.

    “A gate technician in the landing gear area noticed two males who appear to be Signal 7, advised they are not moving in the landing gear area,” a message on the Broward County Sheriff’s Office radio reportedly stated around 11:26 p.m., per the outlet.

    Lastly, the outlet reports that the men’s bodies were “badly decomposed.” Despite the shocking discovery, the outlet also noted that the “landing gear compartment is often used by stowaways.” Per a 2011 FAA report, eighty percent of stowaways who “attempt to fly in the wheel well or another external compartment of an aircraft die.”

    Two People Were Identified Following An Airplane Explosion At Airport In Atlanta

    As BlkCosmo previously reported, in August, an explosion of a Delta plane tire reportedly left an employee and a contractor worker dead near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Initially, the individuals’ identities were not revealed. However, they were later identified as 58-year-old Mirko Marweg and 37-year-old Luis Aldarondo.

    Furthermore, a third victim was also left hospitalized.
