According to Perry’s lawyers, the claims distort what was “a platonic friendship and professional mentorship,” and they say the evidence will clear Perry completely.
“Mr. Perry looks forward to refuting each and every false accusation in court,” the filing concludes.
The Accuser’s Lawyer Fires Back — “We’ll Prove It Happened”
But Derek Dixon’s attorney, Jonathan J. Delshad, isn’t backing down. In a fiery statement issued Yesterday, he said Perry’s legal team hasn’t presented any evidence that the allegations or text messages are fake.
“Perry’s filing provides no evidence to corroborate that the text messages in our complaint are fabricated,” Delshad said. “Our complaint includes text messages where Mr. Perry made explicit sxual remarks to Mr. Dixon, questioned him about his sx life, and dangled professional opportunities based on those interactions.”
Delshad added,
“No employer has the right to manipulate or threaten an employee’s livelihood based on s*xual expectations.”
And in a statement that’s sending shockwaves across Hollywood, Delshad said he’s “convinced Mr. Dixon is not the only one.”
He added:
“Soon others will be sharing stories about Mr. Perry.”
