Another Bravo star is in legal trouble.

On Thursday, Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were arrested and booked on felony fraud charges in Westminster, Maryland.

‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ star Wendy Osefo accused of insurance fraud

Word on the street is that The Real Housewives of Potomac star is facing 16 charges, including insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and making false statements to a police officer, according to Page Six. Her husband is looking at 18 charges. Last we heard, they were being released from jail after posting a $50,000 bond each.

The tea? This stems from a burglary reported while the Osefos were soaking up the sun in Jamaica back in April 2024. The couple claimed that thieves ransacked their home, making off with jewelry and designer handbags worth a small fortune. After filing multiple insurance claims, the police investigation allegedly found that some of the “stolen” items had been returned to stores for a refund *before* the supposed theft. Talk about suspicious! Then, Wendy was spotted rocking her wedding band in an Instagram pic, even though she’d reported it stolen. As the police dug deeper, they discovered that the Osefos were allegedly “burdened by substantial debt.”

It gets juicier! Email records dug up by investigators allegedly revealed a message from Eddie to Wendy asking if there were other “high-value items” they could add to their list of supposedly stolen goods, reports The Baltimore Banner. After the arrest, a search warrant turned up 15 items that appear to be the *very same ones* the Osefos claimed were stolen.  Whew, chile, the audacity!

‘RHOP’ star is not the first Housewife accused of fraud

Looks like Wendy’s name is being added to the growing list of Housewives who’ve found themselves in hot water over alleged fraud. It’s almost a Bravo rite of passage at this point!

Let’s not forget Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey and her husband Joe Giudice, who did time for wire fraud, bankruptcy fraud, and tax evasion. That mess led to their divorce and Joe’s eventual deportation. Remember that rollercoaster?!

And of course, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum Jen Shah is currently serving time in federal prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud, stemming from a telemarketing scheme that scammed elderly victims out of their hard-earned savings.

Erika Girardi from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills also got caught in the crossfire of a fraud case when her then-husband, high-powered lawyer Tom Girardi, was convicted of embezzling millions from his clients, including the victims of the 2018 Lion Air crash. Allegedly, some of that money fueled Erika’s lavish lifestyle and entertainment career, but she maintains she knew nothing about his crimes and was never charged.
