Da Brat revealed she was invited to join The Real Housewives of Atlanta but turned it down, saying the show’s built-in drama made her uneasy.
Da Brat said no to Bravo — and she’s being honest about why. The veteran rapper recently shared that producers reached out about joining The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but the idea of stepping into that famously fiery environment gave her pause.
“I’m scared,” she admitted in a recent interview, explaining that conflict is part of what fuels the franchise. She said she worried situations would be set up to provoke her, something she didn’t want to entertain given how much she’s grown over the years. Reflecting on her past and the work she’s done on herself, Da Brat made it clear she wasn’t interested in being pulled into televised confrontations just for ratings.
Reality TV isn’t unfamiliar territory for her, though. Alongside her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, she starred in Brat Loves Judy and has appeared across several unscripted series over the years. The couple even shares real-life friendships with multiple past and present Housewives, many of whom attended their 2022 wedding.
For now, Da Brat and Judy are focused on family life and promoting their relationship book, The Way Love Goes. And while she isn’t ruling out returning to reality TV someday, she says timing — and peace — matter most.
