03 Greedo made a surprising pivot at ComplexCon, stepping into the DJ booth for what marks his first time behind the decks. The move signals a fresh chapter for the artist, who’s been rebuilding his career since his release from prison.
His DJ debut took place at the Club X stage, which was curated by Siobhan Bell and Jedi. The set represented more than just a new skill on display. For 03 Greedo, it’s another piece in his reentry into the entertainment world.
The context here matters. Greedo spent five years incarcerated after a 2018 conviction on drug trafficking and firearm possession charges. He began his sentence in late 2018 and was released in 2023 following a successful parole hearing. Since then, he’s returned to rap, but now he’s experimenting with production and curation behind the wheels.
The shift from microphone to mixer shows an artist thinking about longevity and creative range. Greedo’s not abandoning rap. He’s expanding into territory that gives him another way to participate in music culture.
ComplexCon itself was loaded with moments worth noting. Playboi Carti headlined the convention and brought out Kanye West during his set, which drew significant attention from the crowd.

The convention also featured performances from Alicia Keys, Travis Barker, Wiz Khalifa, and Quavo. Eric Andre and Chet Hanks had a brief scuffle that got people talking, adding to the event’s chaotic energy.
