Drake turned 40 with the kind of birthday that most people only dream about. The rapper rang in the milestone at an exclusive bash in New York City, complete with a surprise performance from the Backstreet Boys, luxury designer gifts, and a game show where guests walked away with cash prizes up to $1 million.
The celebration took place Friday at Casa Cipriani in Manhattan, where more than 400 of his inner circle gathered for the night. Sources say the nostalgic element of having the iconic boy band perform added a particular spark to the festivities—a choice that felt both unexpected and perfectly Drake.
The rapper wasn’t shy about spreading the wealth either. Attendees left with luxury giveaways including designer handbags from Chanel and Hermès, gifts that set the tone for an evening clearly designed to impress. But the real draw came later: a game show where Drake handed out cash prizes ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to a jaw-dropping seven figures.
It’s the kind of over-the-top celebration you’d expect from someone who’s spent decades at the top of the music industry. Turning 40 with that level of spectacle feels less like a birthday party and more like a cultural moment—the kind of night that gets talked about long after the confetti settles.
