Khloé Kardashian is speaking out about feeling used by Lamar Odom’s family after watching Netflix’s new documentary. The 42-year-old Good American founder addressed Lamar “LJ” Odom Jr.’s remarks during this week’s episode of The Kardashians, saying she was hurt after reviewing footage from Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom.
According to Kardashian, LJ admitted he only joined the family for Christmas because he expected expensive gifts from her and Kris Jenner. She’s been real about how the whole situation felt—especially when she discovered the family had been talking negatively about her behind closed doors while asking for favors. It’s giving ungrateful energy, and Khloé Kardashian made it clear she wasn’t here for it.
“It was so gross how they were talking about me,” Kardashian told Scott Disick. Her friend Malika Haqq also shared that LJ had reached out to her asking for help getting Kardashian to promote something online.
“They’re not asking anything about you. They’re just [like], ‘Do this for me. Do this for me, do this for me,'” said Kardashian, highlighting the transactional nature of the relationships.
“They’ve never, ever really been nice to me and so the fact that they even feel comfortable asking me for things is ballsy,” she continued. Disick backed her up, claiming Odom’s family was “pretty rude” during the former couple’s relationship.
What’s really hitting different is that Kardashian supplied all the footage and pictures for the documentary—and Lamar never even said thank you. That’s a level of disrespect that stings, especially when you’ve been through so much with someone. “I supplied all the footage for your documentary, like all the pictures, and he has nothing. Lamar has never said thank you, nothing,” she explained.
Their history runs deep. Kardashian and Odom married in 2009 before splitting in 2013. She paused their divorce proceedings after his 2015 overdose and helped manage his medical care during his recovery. The pair officially divorced in 2016, but clearly the hurt from feeling taken advantage of still lingers.
