There Is Still Only One Blade

November was supposed to be the month we saw Mahershala Ali step into the Daywalker’s trench coat. Instead, Marvel’s Blade reboot missed its original premiere date, and we’re left with nothing but an empty spot on the calendar.

If you’ve been on the timeline, you know the reaction is a mix of pure comedy and pain. Black Twitter is on fire with memes, crowning Wesley Snipes the “only Blade” and joking that we’ll all be collecting social security by the time this movie actually drops.

This isn’t just another delayed movie. The original Blade films set a standard for superhero movies before the MCU was even a thought. Getting this reboot right matters. Fans want to see Mahershala Ali, a phenomenal actor, get the script and the production he deserves for such an important role.

The question now is whether Marvel is taking too long or just taking the time needed to avoid failure. The wait is frustrating, but a rushed, messy Blade would be a much bigger disappointment for everyone invested in seeing the character done justice.

So we wait, because we know this one can’t just be good, it has to be legendary.
