The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) has been a stalwart supporter of educational initiatives for Black students, but a new lawsuit is casting a shadow over its scholarship program.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed by a group of Black students, the CBCF’s scholarships discriminate against them based on their racial identity. The plaintiffs claim that the foundation’s scholarship application process and award selection criteria disproportionately favor White students.
