Mary J. Blige is giving fans even more reasons to plan that Vegas trip. The R&B legend has added 10 new dates to her Las Vegas residency at Park MGM, extending what was already a major career moment as she steps into her first-ever run on the Strip.
The added shows begin August 28 and continue through late summer and fall, with performances set for August 29, September 2, 5, and 6, plus October 23, 24, 28, 30, and 31. The residency, titled My Life, My Story, first launched on May 1 and was originally scheduled for 10 dates before the expansion doubled its run.
From the beginning, this residency has carried real personal significance. In earlier remarks, she shared that building a Vegas show was something she had always wanted to do, framing the experience as more than a concert series. It was also about bringing fans together from different cities, states, and countries for a shared experience, with a few surprises woven in for the people who have been rocking with her for years.
In a recent conversation on morning television, Mary J. Blige reflected on why this chapter feels aligned. She spoke about perseverance and standing in the place she is meant to be, while also acknowledging the emotional weight of revisiting songs tied to painful periods in her life, especially classics from My Life and Not Gon’ Cry.
That honesty is part of what keeps her legacy so powerful. For Black audiences in particular, seeing an artist turn survival, vulnerability, and hard-won peace into a full-scale residency feels bigger than entertainment. It feels like testimony with stage lights.
