Police held a news conference Wednesday, revealing the alleged incident took place on October 27th at a gentlemen’s club in Miami Gardens. For her safety, officials are not releasing the woman’s name or the club’s identity. The police report details how Davis allegedly grabbed the woman by the back of her head, pulling her with one hand while holding her throat with the other, then forcefully took her to a parking garage.
She eventually broke free and ran to coworkers. The woman reportedly suffered bruises on her left arm during the ordeal.
Authorities also shared that the woman had known Davis since 2022, and they had been in an intimate relationship that reportedly ended just a month before this incident.
Importantly, surveillance video footage seems to corroborate the victim’s account.
An arrest warrant has now been issued for Davis, with charges including battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping. The Miami Gardens Police are collaborating with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate him.
NBC6 reached out to Davis’ management for comment but had not received a response.
This isn’t the first time the 31-year-old boxer has been in the news for such allegations. He has faced multiple domestic violence charges in South Florida before, including an accusation this past July of hitting the mother of his children.
He was also arrested in Broward County in 2022 for another domestic violence case.
Furthermore, Davis faced charges in Coral Gables for a 2020 incident where he allegedly beat his girlfriend, though those charges were later dropped.
