It’s been nearly two months since Destiny’s Child shut the internet down with their reunion during Beyonce‘s ‘Cowboy Carter Tour’ finale, and the buzz hasn’t died down! The surprise appearance is still a hot topic among us dedicated fans.
And while band member Michelle Williams has already shared her jaw-dropping experience of rocking hits like ‘Bootylicious’ and ‘Lose My Breath’ with the crew, she recently spilled more tea on ‘Watch What Happens Live (WWHL) with Andy Cohen.’ She touched on the performance and even addressed the rumors about a possible bigger group project.
Williams, who graced the late-night show on a Wednesday, primarily came to chat about her amazing Broadway role in ‘Death Becomes Her.’
But of course, Cohen had to ask about that DC3 reunion from July.
“It was just awesome, spur of the moment,” she said, comparing it to their Coachella reunion in 2018. “At Coachella, we had a little more time. This one [Cowboy Carter] was like, ‘yeah, let’s do this.’ And, we did.”
Cohen seized the moment to dig deeper, asking if Bey’s upcoming album (the last in the trilogy after 2022’s ‘Renaissance’ and 2024’s ‘Cowboy Carter’) could be a full-blown Destiny’s Child project.
“Andy, if that were the case…,” Williams started, before he jumped in, asking if she even hopes for a new recording from the trio one day. “Anything is possible. To me, performing on stage is like that. I only like it with Beyonce and Kelly.” We feel you, sis!
All in all, Michelle dodged the question like a pro, but not without dropping a hint of hope for us DC3 stans.
“I don’t like giving away secrets,” she said, adding, “I think too why we’re able to have impact [when we do reunite], is not only because people miss us but it’s because of what we don’t share. When you see us, you see us. When you don’t, you don’t.”
