It’s giving “newlywed glow!” Lauren Sanchez and her billionaire boo, Jeff Bezos, were living their best lives at New York Fashion Week. Fresh off their lavish $50 million wedding (ICYMI: it had more A-listers than the VMAs!), the couple stepped out for the 72 Magazine event at the Four Seasons Hotel, hosted by British Vogue’s main woman, Edward Enninful. For the night, Sanchez served looks in a white satin mini, showing off all the right assets. She paired it with a chic brown leather jacket and strappy nude heels. And that ring? Reportedly a $5 million rock from Bezos himself!Bezos kept it classic in a black suit and dress shirt, accessorizing with aviator sunglasses and beaded bracelets. But the NYFW appearance wasn’t their only power move. The day before, Lauren Sanchez and Bezos rubbed elbows with Salma Hayek, Dakota Johnson, and other celebs at the Kering Foundation’s ‘Caring for Women’ Dinner. She even posed for photos with Anna Wintour, silencing any lingering haters.Remember the rumors that Bezos might buy Conde Nast after Lauren Sanchez‘s Vogue digital cover debut (wearing her custom Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress, no less)? Or the whispers that Wintour had a hand in choosing her Met Gala fit? Well, the photos of them looking cozy definitely raised eyebrows.
Another pic showed Lauren Sanchez on the staircase with the former Vogue editor. Chic, right?Lauren Sanchez also made sure to snap photos with Georgina Rodriguez (Cristiano Ronaldo’s fiancée) and director Baz Luhrmann. The caption? ‘Fun pics of a beautiful evening that raised millions to support women and protect survivors. @keringfoundation.’ Of course, fans flooded the comments, calling them ‘queens’ and praising Lauren Sanchez‘s stunning look.
Speaking of that Vogue cover, it dropped right after their Venice wedding, a three-day event that had Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Brady, Kim Kardashian, and Orlando Bloom on the guest list. Wintour might have missed the wedding, but sources say she played a big role in helping Lauren Sanchez pick out her gown.
The streets were talking! One source even told The Mail on Sunday: ‘The rumor that Jeff is going to buy Conde Nast is all anyone’s talking about in the fashion industry and inside Vogue… Lauren Sanchez is such an unlikely cover star, and the word is that she landed the July issue partly because the Newhouse family want to butter up Bezos.’They added, ‘Anna is said to be the one brokering the deal so that’s why Lauren Sanchez was put on the cover. Anna has equity in the business so has a lot to gain from a sale,’ the insider further added.Another source chimed in, saying Bezos is ‘one of the very few people with deep enough pockets. And Lauren Sanchez is no airhead. She’s a sharp cookie. There have been conversations.’Remember, Bezos bought the Washington Post for $250 million in 2013. Power move, right?
